Sample board with Kadıköy’s first-week squares
How it works
Spot a cat, fill a square.
Street cat bingo takes three steps, and the whole neighborhood plays on the same board.
Step 1
Monday: a new board
Every Monday at midnight a new 5×5 board opens. Every neighborhood gets the same 25 squares, so the race between them is fair.
Step 2
Spot a street cat
A tabby in a shop window? A cat asleep on a car? Photograph it in the app from where you stand. The photo is checked in a few seconds.
Step 3
Fill the square
An approved photo fills that square on your neighborhood’s board, with your nickname on it. Complete lines together and climb the weekly ranking.
- 25
squares every week10 easy, 10 medium, 4 hard and a free one in the middle
- 5
squares max per personso nobody can fill the board alone
- 12

A neighborhood game
One board per neighborhood, filled together.
Cat Crawl is a community game, not a solo collection. Your whole neighborhood shares one board, and everyone who takes a photo there helps fill it.
- One person can fill at most five squares a week. The rest is up to the neighbors.
- When a photo is hard to judge, the neighbors vote on whether it fits the square.
- Every week the neighborhoods are ranked by completed lines, then by filled squares.

Cats come first
Admire from afar.
Cat Crawl never asks you to touch, feed or get close to a cat. Getting closer never earns more.
We never pinpoint cats.
No touching, feeding or chasing
Take your photo from where you stand. Close-ups earn no points, and there are no bounties on particular cats.
No exact spots
The map shows an area about 500 m wide, a day after a sighting, and only until the week ends.
Sensitive scenes stay off the map
Photos of kittens, injured cats and feeding spots are never placed on the map.
A hurt cat means help, not bingo
If a cat looks hurt, the app shows you who to call.
The map
Hideouts stay hidden.
A map shows roughly where cats were seen this week. It is built so that nobody can work out where and when to find a particular cat.

Photos
- Photos appear the day after they were sent, with the date only.
- Each one is shown as an area about 500 m wide, never the exact spot.
- Faces and license plates are blurred, and photos are shared without their location data.
- Only signed-in players can open the map, and it is cleared when the week ends.
Helping street cats
Found an injured street cat?
Cat Crawl is a game, not a rescue service. But its players are out on the street noticing cats, so help is one tap from the board.
- Don’t try to catch or treat the cat yourself.
- Contact a rescue group, a nearby vet clinic or your municipality.
- Tell them where you saw the cat. You decide what to share: the app sends your location and your photo to no one from its rescue screen.
FAQ
Questions about street cat bingo
What is Cat Crawl?
Cat Crawl is a mobile game where neighbors fill in a weekly 5×5 street cat bingo board together. Each square describes a street cat you might meet, such as a tabby in a shop window or a cat asleep on a car. A photo of a matching cat fills the square for the whole neighborhood.
How does street cat bingo work?
A new board opens every Monday. You photograph a street cat that matches an empty square with the in-app camera, the photo is checked in a few seconds, and an approved photo fills the square. Neighbors complete lines and full boards together, and neighborhoods are ranked each week.
Where can I play?
Cat Crawl starts in Kadıköy, Istanbul, with a board for each of its 21 neighborhoods. Photos can only be submitted from inside Kadıköy. Anywhere else, you can pick a neighborhood and follow its board.
Is Cat Crawl free?
Yes. Cat Crawl is free, with no in-app purchases and no ads.
Does Cat Crawl show where street cats live?
No. The map shows an area about 500 m wide, a day after a sighting, and only for that week. Exact spots and times are never shown, and photos of kittens, injured cats and feeding spots stay off the map.
Do I need to feed or touch the cats?
No, and it earns nothing. You take your photo from where you stand. Cat Crawl never asks you to touch, feed, chase or get close to a cat.
What should I do if I find an injured street cat?
Do not try to catch or treat it yourself. Contact a rescue group, a nearby vet clinic or your municipality and tell them where you saw it. The app keeps a rescue screen one tap from the board.
What happens to my photos and my location?
Cat Crawl keeps the photos you submit together with where and when they were taken. Other players only see a copy with faces and license plates blurred, the neighborhood, an approximate map area and the date.
